Huntington Library with HChang 5/10/13 (and 1973)

Hsiaolin, Ava, Joe and I had high tea and visited this Garden on a balmy Friday.
Thanks to Hsiaolin's hospitality and the entire experience!

Loved this gathering and meet Ava for the first time...she is a very lovely girl and
listens to grandma very well.

Here are some pictures to share with you. Keep well and in touch.

李同: It is really nice to see your photos, Vicky and Hsiaolin. They also brought me to the memory lane. I feel compelled  to write a comment, however 'comment' would not allow to post photos. So I decided to tag along here. Hope you don't mind. (Administrator does have privileges :) )

It was exactly 40 years ago (1973) in an April day,  Hsiaolin and Tunan took me (and a whole gang from UC Riverside) to Huntington Library for a visit. Here are a couple of photos from that trip. Can you imagine, Hsiaolin was also carrying a little girl, her daughter Amy.

  1. I might as well add a few words here to complete the story. Back then I was doing my graduate work at UCR, and Tunan was doing his post-doc there. Their apartment was just across the street from my shared apartment. They basically handed me an unlimited free meal ticket. Guess what, I took full advantage of it!... Before I left for Ohio State, since I did not have a car and did not know how to drive, Hsiaolin and Tunan took me to see places around southern California, and Huntington Library is one of the stops. It is just so nice of them. I'll always remember this
